AHA! Gallery Exhibit: Talking Pictures: First-Generation College Students Speak from Behind the Lens

Gallery Exhibit OpeningTalking Pictures: First-Generation College Student Speak from Behind the Lens, September 15, 2014, Noon-1:00 p.m., Gallery Location: Appleby Hall basement on the north side. (Note: The exhibit will be displayed all of fall semester.)

This exhibit focuses on the rich and multiple identities of students who are the first in their family to go to college. The photos were taken by students  involved in a research study conducted by Associate Professor Rashné Jehangir, from the department of Postsecondary Teaching and Learning and Veronica Deenanath, Family Social Science graduate student, via a collaboration between TRIO Student Support Services Program and the College of Education Human Development’s iPad initiative, with support from an Institutional Change Grant from the Women’s Center.
